How to Send / Schedule a Campaign
We have moved to a new system, Constant Contact (www.constantcontact.com), for sending emails out to our district mailing lists (Listserv).
Sign into the website at www.constantcontact.com
To send a Campaign using our district-themed template
From the Campaigns screen, click the dots next to the Campaign called "Template - Copy This To Create Campaign"
Click Copy
Name the Campaign (make it something specific to the mailing that you're doing, and it's recommended to include the date so it doesn't conflict with any past/future campaigns - ie: 2021-09-20 Test Campaign)
Click Save
Edit your Campaign
This panel lets you add any new components that you might want included (drag-and-drop items into the body of the email to add)
This panel lets you customize the Subject of the email (click on it to customize)
This panel is the body of the email (to edit text, just double-click on any text component You'll notice a button that says "[insert attachment here]" - this button is used if you want to attach a file to the email. If you do not have an attachment, simply single-click the button, and click the trash can icon
This button is for saving drafts of your campaign (use this if you're not done with your campaign and want to come back to it in the future)
This button lets you preview your email before sending it, or send a test copy to yourself for viewing
This button lets you continue and send the campaign
To send a Campaign from a blank template
From the Campaigns screen, click "Create" and then "Email"
Choose a template from the list, or use a blank email
Follow the same directions from Step 2 (start at Step 2 > Section 3)
To send your campaign (after clicking the Continue button)
Choose your recipient list (check off all lists that apply)
Edit your subject (if needed) - other fields here do not need to be edited
Schedule the send time for your campaign (now or later)
For now, no other settings are needed
For later, specify date and time
Click Schedule in the top right
To view stats on your previously sent campaigns, go back to the Campaigns screen and click More then Details From this screen, you can see stats on your campaign
Bounces - emails that were rejected (incorrect email, spam, etc)
Unsubscribed - recipients that clicked the "unsubscribe" button in this campaign's email footer
Clicks - # of recipients that clicked a link you included in your campaign email
