How to Get Access to District Wi-Fi
Staff members can have their devices put onto the district wireless. In order to do so, we need some information about your device. So, in order to expedite your request, please provide us with your device type and MAC address. Once we enter that information into our system, a Help Desk technician will contact you with further instructions.
What is a MAC Address?
- Unique identifier assigned to network devices
- Example: AA:BB:CC:00:11:22
Apple iPhone/iPad
1. Go to "Settings"
2. Go to "General"
3. Go to "About"
4. Scroll down, and provide us with the "Wi-Fi Address" (ex - AA:BB:CC:00:11:22)
* Please make sure it's is the "Wi-Fi Address" and not the "Bluetooth Address"
* When joining the proper wireless network, make sure that you turn off "Private Wi-Fi Address" (click the
icon next to the wireless network, and then turn off "Private Wi-Fi Address"
Android Phone
1. Go to "Settings"
2. Go to "About Phone" (at bottom of list)
3. Go to "Status"
4. Please provide us with the "Wi-Fi MAC Address"
* Please make sure it's is the "Wi-Fi Address" and not the "Bluetooth Address"
Windows Laptop
1. Open Run (Press Windows + R)
2. Type "cmd" and press Enter
3. Type "ipconfig /all" and press Enter
4. You'll see a list of all the network adapters on your computer. Find the one that says "Wireless Adapter" and provide us with the "Physical Address"
Macbook (Apple laptop)
1. Go to "System Preferences"
2. Go to "Network"
3. Select "Wi-Fi" or "Airport"
4. Click "Advanced"
5. Please provide us with the "MAC Address"
Google Chromebook
1. If you haven't yet, sign in to your Chromebook.
2. At the bottom right, select the time.
3. Select the Wi-Fi network 
4. At the top of the box, select Information 
5. You'll see your Chromebook's IP address and IPv6 address. Your MAC address is labeled "Wi-Fi."
